This is our top fundraiser. Responsible to coordinate, organize,
promote (signs, flyers, PTC newsletter, school marquee, website
and FB entries) and attend the event in the fall. Verify
the event budget and obtain approval before purchasing
supplies. Organize volunteers – Work with VP of
Volunteers/Membership to create a Sign-Up Genius for your event.
Lead volunteer meetings (prepare agenda) and delegate tasks
such as but not limited to obtaining donated items like water
bottles and prizes, ordering and distributing t-shirts.
Coordinates and participates in preparing the donation letters,
approved flyers, donation and collection envelopes. As the
event approaches, responsible for the daily gathering and
counting the money in the student donation envelopes.
Organize student and business donations, t-shirt orders, etc. on
several spreadsheets. All t-shirt invoices to be sent to
the Treasurer to ensure payment to the vendor. Complete
daily or weekly money counts with PTC cash verification
sheet. First money count with co-chairs and 2
additional people. On the day of, co-chairs need to stay at
the event. Tally lap counts after event. Complete
thank you notes for the event. Give an update at General
Meeting for your event month.
